On April 20th, the university’s 61st anniversary was celebrated at the annual Dies Natalis in the Paterskerk. Among the speakers were Prof. Bert van der Zwaan (rector UU) and Prof. Patrick Aebischer (former president EPFL), as well as Dr. Ilja Voets, together with Emma and Phil. They were invited to present a look into their research, particularly on antifreeze proteins. Plenty of our group members were there in the audience to support them during this event. Their wonderful contribution to this festive day was well received and extensively discussed afterwards.
