After the 1st edition of the “Secrets of superhero science” symposium at the International Festival of Technology in Delft, BioArt Laboratories proudly hosted Barry Fitzgerald for a second edition in the Veem Building (Strijp-S) in Eindhoven during the Dutch Design Week on Friday the 27th of October. Ivan Moldero Lorenzo spoke about Revealing the microworld, on behalf of InMicro and Maastricht University. The TU/e Sensus team was represented by Abel Goedegebuure and Eliene Rutten, highlighting Biosensors. Jalila Essaïdi from BioArt Laboratories presented Bulletproof spider silk human skin. On behalf of the Voets Research Group, talentful master student Maja Mehmedbašić gave an exciting talk about cryopreservation and how to improve the technique using insights from antifreeze protein research.
